This week instead of cooking I'll be talking about some interesting things that have been popping up recently.  Bacon has apparently been becoming popular recently.  It's almost as if we are going through a bacon revolution.  You can get everything from Baconsalt and bacon chocolate to a wallet that is made to look like it's made of bacon.  I was at stony point recently and happened to stop in The Sweet Shoppe.  As I walked by the register all I could do was stare in amazement at an entire box of these.

 

 I never thought I'd see a chocolate bar with bacon and smoked salt in it.  I couldn't help myself, I had to get one.  I was thrown off a little when I flipped it over and saw the three dollar price tag for a tiny three ounce bar.  Then I thought where else would I ever see bacon chocolate?  Also I had the excuse that I was buying it for my blog!  Trust me, it was well worth the three bucks.  It has exactly what we crave.  It is the perfect combination of salty and sweet.  Later, I looked up the company behind it.  Vosges Haut Chocolat actually has an entire line up of bacon and chocolate contemplations on their website.  They have everything from a box of bacon chocolate truffles to bacon chocolate chip pancake mix.  The price is a major down fall though.  The pancakes would cost you twelve bucks and the truffles are an intimidating forty-eight bucks.  That's without tax and shipping.  There are hundreds of products out there.  The website thinkgeek.com (which I am personally a big fan of) has tons of stuff.  Even a talking bacon strip plush!
