So when we were told we had to write a blog, I thought of the most random thing I could talk about.  The first thing that popped into my head was bacon.  I like bacon so ran with the idea.  I mean I could have been like most of the class and picked some hot button issue or some life lessons to talk about; I actually started this first blog planning on talking about pork barrel politics and blah blah blah.  No matter how hard I tried, no matter how many times I tried rewriting it, I couldn't write about politics. It's just not me.  I enjoy more random comical things like discussing bacon.  


With that being said, 10¢ To Add Bacon will chronicle my attempts at making different, and hopefully somewhat unorthodox, recipes involving bacon.  There will be a new recipe each weekend with pictures and descriptions of what are hopefully successful encounters in the kitchen.  Although I know my burnt, overcooked or just plain screwed up dishes will be more enjoyable to both the reader and my dogs.  The first recipe will be posted later this weekend.  It's a rather easy slow cooker recipe, but hey it's only week one and who doesn't like the sound of candied bacon?
